Monday Night Dinner

Some were entertained tonight by the host rotary association.

The rest of us went to..






In downtown Guayaquil.







The food was great, the drinks were stiff, but the service was as slow as a ....



On to tomorrow.

Teaching


One of the goals of our the trip is to potentially improve the local urologic care by teaching the local pediatric urologics the techniques we use.

The Children










Some were happy to meet us and hopefully we made a positive difference in their lives.








While some of the children were not as thrilled or impressed.














Todays Cases - Monday

Our day started at 8am and ended at 8 pm.

We operated on 5 children today.

1. Left nephrectomy for a nonfunctioning kidney due to obstruction in a 2 month old child. - Dr Packer and me.



2. Left Ureteropelvic Junction repair - (IVP below) -Dr Packer and me






3) Hypospadias repair with chordee. Dr. Dean


4) Mild Distal Hypospadias repair - Dr. Dean


5)1st Stage Hypospadias repair - Dr Packer and me.

Operating Rooms


The ORs are not that different but luckily we
brought our own equipment.

The Doctors Are In!


This was the line at 7:30 am Monday morning at
the children's hospital. Not all were there to see us.
Health care in the US seems pretty good right about
now.
